You are not solid, you never will be. You wake up one morning and love this person and blueberries are your favorite fruit and you hate cities and love not wearing makeup and your favorite song is by Bright Eyes. And then you see someone who is different than the person you love and you want them now. You eat a pomegranate for the first time and forget about blueberries. You move away for school and you’re in the middle of a new city and it is loud and hot and busy and strangers are talking to you and you realize you don’t hate cities. You put on eyeliner and feel strong. You hear The Doors for the first time or Starfucker or Billie Holiday and your new favorite song is something else. So who you are is who you are, and tomorrow you might be different and that’s okay. You are a collection of every person you’ve ever cared about and admired, every place you’ve been to, every song you’ve ever heard, every book you’ve ever read, and the older you get the more you will be changed by these things. So let it happen. See something new and be changed by it. There’s no rule that you have to stay the same from start to finish, or even stay the same throughout the day. You’re fluid. Be whoever you want!
You are loved just for being who you are, just for existing. You don’t have to do anything to earn it. Your shortcomings, your lack of self-esteem, physical perfection, or social and economic success - none of that matters. No one can take this love away from you, and it will always be here. — Ram Dass (via psych-facts)

I might be too young to settle down and marry, but I’m definitely too old to be playing anymore games. I’m too old to just be talking to someone, too old to not know what’s really going on, and too old to be entertaining somebody with no intention of making it work. At this age, I’m only interested in consistency, stability, respect and loyalty. And I want to hear someone tell me that they love me and know they Goddamn mean it. — (via your-daisyfreshgirl)
Love isn’t something natural. Rather it requires discipline, concentration, patience, faith, and the overcoming of narcissism. It isn’t a feeling, it is a practice. — Erich Fromm (via creatingaquietmind)
